Is the painting really done by the hand ?
Yes, every canvas is painted by a real artist in Mauritius. No AI, no templates, no shortcuts. Your artist’s name is in every update we send you. Your artist signs the final work before delivery.

How long does it take?
It will depend on the chosen style and the number of personas to be hand painted. We will be in contact with you once we receive your confirmed order to indicate when you will receive your draft and eventually your hand painted artwork.
All timelines mentioned on the website are indicative.

Can I request changes?
Yes. You are entitled to one revision of the pencil sketch at no charge. A revision at sketch stage may include:
- Adjustments to the likeness of your pet or people in the scene
- Changes to the positioning or composition of the scene
- Addition or removal of props or characters specified in your original brief
- Minor adjustments to the expression or pose of characters
A revision does not include a complete change of scene, a different chaos story, or adding characters not mentioned in the original brief. These constitute a new commission.
Once we receive your final approval, our artist starts painting and will no longer accept any further change request.

What if I don't like the finished painting?
See our response to question 3 above. We won’t paint a single stroke until you approve the draft sketch. Once the draft is approved, we will not consider any more changes.

Can I add people to the scene?
Yes, family members, friends, other pets and objects are all welcome.
A1: 60 × 90 cm
- Includes: Up to 3 pets + up to 2 persons
A2: 40 × 60 cm
- Includes: 1 pet + up to 2 persons
A3: 30 × 40 cm
- Includes: 1 pet portrait
Additional elements: Can be discussed depending on the composition and complexity of your story.

How is the canvas delivered?
Carefully wrapped for you to pick up in Moka. Every canvas comes with a certificate of origin, signed by the artist and having a Tail of Chaos Stamp, confirming it is only one in existence.

Can I order a mug or print without a canvas?
Merchandises are derived from your original canvas painting. They are available as add-ons once your canvas is approved, or to returning customers stating their earlier order reference number.

Do you offer gift options?
Yes, you can commission a Tail of Chaos artwork as a gift. At checkout, select ‘Gift order’ and enter the recipient’s pet details. You can pick up once it’s ready. We can also arrange for delivery at an additional fee.

Do you ship outside Mauritius?
Currently we deliver across Mauritius only. International shipping is coming in a future phase.
